Baldwin Pre-School Centre
Letter to Parents:
Dear Parents,
Thank you for visiting our web site.
Selecting the school most appropriate to the needs of your child is one of parent's key responsibilities. Does the school's educational philosophy fit parents' own views on education? Are the stated goals of the school clearly demonstrated by the activities in the classrooms? There are many issues parents assess and explore before reaching a decision on the right school for their child.
The ultimate goal of Baldwin Pre-School Centre is to best prepare today's children for the world in which they will function as adults in the next century. With this in mind, we aim to provide a warm, happy and enriching environment, where children are free to develop and grow physically, mentally and emotionally at their own individual pace. We also teach children to love nature and to have a deep understanding of the environment in which we exist, and a sense of responsibility for other beings.
Our objectives are:
Your child will be entering a classroom where he/she will find understanding and respect as an individual. Children will find their own place both socially and academically.
The interaction between different ages helps children to gain self-control, to become more self-reliant and to overcome frustrations. Younger children get help and reassurance from the older children, who in turn find a sense of pride and accomplishment from helping the younger ones.
All through the school year at Baldwin Pre-School Centre, a broad spectrum of activities will be taking place in learning centres.
Children will be doing exercises that will help them develop concentration and co-ordination.
Our program is structured and designed to take advantage of the sensitive early years, when children absorb information effortlessly from an enriched environment.
Children will mature at different rates. Their learning experiences will occur naturally and joyfully at the proper moment for each individual child.
A visit to the classroom during orientation sessions will help to familiarize, or reintroduce a new or returning child to the school environment and to reassure him/her before the start of the school year.
The skills and habits that your child will acquire in our classroom will last a lifetime, and will help him/her to develop good base, socially and intellectually.
Children will take these skills wherever they continue their education.
We hope to awaken in each student a special interest in the surrounding world, a sense of wonder, a spirit of discovery, a love of learning, an appreciation of beauty and respect for nature and to have a deep understanding of the environment in which we exist, and a sense of responsibility for other beings.
Sincerely,
Program Staff
